‘General Hospital’ bids farewell to Bobbie Spencer, beloved character played by Jacklyn Zeman
Soap opera fans mourned when actress Jacklyn Zeman, a beloved veteran on “General Hospital,” died in May 2023 at age 70.
Zeman, who had portrayed the character of Bobbie Spencer for more than 45 years, made her last appearance on the ABC daytime series on April 27, 2023. She performed on more than 800 episodes of the soap, and despite other acting jobs, Bobbie Spencer became her signature role.
Now, about eight months after Zeman’s death, “General Hospital” will pay tribute to Bobbie Spencer — and the actress who played her — on two episodes of the series set for Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 10-11.
