When it comes to General Hospital, one should really expect the unexpected. The makers hardly ever follow a pattern and are absolutely unafraid of writing off big characters or bringing new ones in. For months there has been so much hype, talk and secrecy behind the mysterious Pikeman boss. Even the story stretched for a long period. Thus, when John Brennan was finally brought in. It felt like a thrilling saga will begin in Port Charles.
However, after only a handful of episodes, Dante and Anna cracked the case on General Hospital. After months of spinning circles, the two escaped assassination and even arrested Brennan. All in one single episode. Thus, marking the end of the long-running Pikeman and Anna’s attacks storyline. That too, in an extremely underwhelming manner, might we add. While, fans had been wanting this story to be wrapped up, they didn’t expect it to happen this way.
Especially after Charles Mesure became such a hit with General Hospital fans as John Brennan. The Aussie hottie arrived as a breath of fresh air, and enchanted the fans with his swanky charm. Moreover, the sparkly chemistry between him and Carly did not go unnoticed by the viewers either. Thus, it comes as no surprise that the fans were left wanting more of Brennan. In fact, at this point, the fine actor seems unnecessarily wasted. As he did absolutely nothing more than make a few phone calls, grab coffee at Kelly’s and low key flirt with its owner!
What Happened To The Building Mob War on General Hospital?
In one of the recent General Hospital episodes, Sonny declared that he was done taking orders from Pikeman. It sounded a lot like the beginning of a new war. But with Brennan getting arrested, all of that seems impossible now. No face-off with Sonny, no conclusion to Valentin’s involvement with Pikeman. So many lose ends. This makes us wonder, if this end is actually an end or just a red herring? Because before getting hauled off in handcuffs, Brennan did threaten Anna.
Could this mean that he will eventually return for some more Pikeman / WSB drama on General Hospital? Well the fans certainly want him to.
