We have said it before, we are saying it again! General Hospital fans just can’t keep calm about Steve Burton returning as Jason! In fact, Steve himself is pretty excited about this much-anticipated comeback. He has said plenty of times by now that he always wanted to come back to GH and retire from there. But could Jason’s return mean the end of the run for another character? Drew! Let’s find out!
We have been noticing a change in Drew’s behavior in General Hospital ever since he came out of prison. The once calm and composed cool-head has turned into an agitated and ready-to-fight raging bull. The way he verbally ripped into Nina, made us question everything about the man we have been seeing him for. Carly and Sam both have noticed the change in him. Could this be the prelude to a big explosion down the road?
Is General Hospital Planning To Replace Drew With Jason?
For the longest time, many General Hospital fans have been questioning Drew’s viability to the soap. He has added nothing to the story apart from being Carly’s arm candy or Curtis’ punching bag. In fact, many would argue that he does not even have chemistry with Carly. And as far as Sam is concerned, they only keep bickering over how to parent Scout. Meanwhile, Jason has always lived up to the truest potential of the screen time he has had.
And, of course, Jason’s chemistry with Carly and Sam was the thing of dreams on General Hospital. No wonder fans miss him so much. Interestingly, he even had sizzling chemistry with Liz! Even Rebecca (Liz) herself has wondered in media interactions as to why GH didn’t go ahead with the Liz-Jason pairing. But hey, with Jason back – there are so many new chances! However, the first of them all is perhaps going to be a Jason – Carly romance reboot. After all, he has already stolen Sam from Drew once. So, why not Carly, too?
But if that happens, could that mean the end of the road for Drew on General Hospital? It is certainly a possibility. If not permanent, at least temporary. Besides, Cameron Mathison often has his hands full with so many projects. For instance – his Hallmark movies. So, if he needs time off from GH to dedicate to other projects, we say now is the time!
