Rumors have been swirling for a while that Kody and Robyn Brown of TLC’s Sister Wives may have opened their home to a foster child. Fortunately, the rumors are rumors no more. The truth has finally come out. So, are Kody and Robyn Brown foster parents? Keep reading for the scoop.
Kody Brown Wanted More Children
It was no secret that Kody Brown wasn’t done having children. Unfortunately for Robyn, she was the only wife he had who was still capable of having more children. She, however, wasn’t too keen on the idea of getting pregnant again. There were rumors for years that Robyn and Kody successfully got pregnant and welcomed a secret baby into the world. These rumors, however, eventually fizzled out.
In the absence of conceiving more children, a rumor grew legs that Kody and Robyn shifted gears. And, that they decided to take in a foster child. With new episodes of Sister Wives dropping each week and anonymous sources coming out of the woodwork to speak about the family, the truth is finally out.
Did They Get a Foster Child?
For those who are unaware of how becoming a foster parent works, it is a process. Foster parents have to attend training and take classes. Likewise, they also have to allow their homes to be inspected. Likewise, foster parents have to be able to afford to take children into their homes as foster care doesn’t pay nearly as well as people think it does. Moreover, it certainly doesn’t cover the cost of properly caring for a child.
In a new thread on Reddit, one fan exclaims the rumors Robyn and Kody opened their homes to a foster child can be put to bed. The OP of the thread notes there is NO way their home would have passed the necessary inspection to qualify as a safe space for a foster child.
I know there’s been speculation about Kooter [Kody] and Robyn having a foster child in their home. I think the most recent episode should put that speculation to bed. There’s no way they could keep all those medicine bottles out on the counter like that. It would all have to be locked up and out of reach, even if the child were family. If they had a child placed by the state there’s just no way.
As TV Shows Ace previously reported, fans were startled by the amount of medication in Robyn and Kody’s home. This medication was spotted by fans in a recent episode from the new season. Many questioned if there was something wrong with Robyn or one of their children to require that volume of medication.
