On this season of Sister Wives, Janelle Brown is at the end of her rope with Kody.
All married couples fight now and then, but the wives seem eager to move on from polygamy. Christine has moved back to Utah this season but still keeps in touch with her friend Janelle.
New previews reveal that Kody and Janelle couldn’t be more distant from one another. And based on her words, it seems like she’s ready to leave once and for all.
What exactly did she have to say?
Janelle Brown doesn’t want to repair her marriage
As of 2023, Sister Wives fans already know that Kody and Janelle Brown went their separate ways. It doesn’t seem that she has any intention to return. However, Kody seems interested in reconciling.
But this season, viewers are watching it all play out onscreen.
Ahead of Sunday night’s episode, ET has access to a new teaser.
In the clip, Christine asks Janelle if her marriage is fine. Janelle flatly tells Christine that things aren’t fine at all.
“I think what’s happened is when everybody moved out, I think it was kind of one of those things where we went, ‘Oh, how do we do this, just the two of us?’” Janelle informs her former sister wife “I don’t know what to do. We’re both sort of like, ‘OK, do we keep working for this?’ … He seems so set about the kids respecting him and my kids are like, ‘What?’”
In her confessional, Janelle admits that she really doesn’t have much interest in repairing her marriage to Kody. She says that at this point, she’s not really sure who Kody is any longer.
“I just don’t see that it’s really worth the work,” she states. It’s immediately clear that she has quite a bit of animosity towards the family patriarch. her facial expressions were pure disdain at times.
Kody Brown seethes over losing his wives
As seen in previous teasers, Kody Brown is about to have another major meltdown this season. He isn’t handling his multiple divorces well at all.
But as of 2023, it seems like he’s getting used to the idea of being a monogamist moving forward.
“Every day you just forgive. Forgive yourself. Forgive others. Because we’re not going back to where we were,” Kody told PEOPLE in a recent interview. “I have to accept that. I want to get to a place where I’m accepting that with a heart full of grace and love moving forward in my life. We’re all moving forward. We’re all seeking happiness, and we will all find it.”
