“The results are in!” Mathison shared on Instagram with a video of himself at the Prenuvo office. “This is a follow-up health post to my Prenuvo scan a few weeks ago. Very grateful to say, other than a few minor findings, I’m all clear.”

Prenuvo is a whole-body MRI scan that can detect cancerous tumors and hundreds of other medical conditions. The actor also shared the link prenuvo.com/cameron in case any fans wanted to take advantage of a discount on getting a scan of their own.

“As a cancer survivor, obviously super important to me,” Mathison explained in the voiceover of his video. “Results came back, I’m all clear and super, super grateful.”

Mathison first found fame starring as Ryan Lavery on All My Children and has also appeared on Dancing With the Stars, starred in movies for Hallmark and Great American Family, as well as hosted for Entertainment Tonight, Home & Family, and more. He joined the cast of GH as the new Drew Cain in 2021, and while appearing on the soap managed to moonlight as the host of the new game show Beat the Bridge!

Battling cancer not only gave Mathison a new lease on health and fitness, but on his life too. He told Turner that the whole experience forced him to realize that life is short.

“You go through something like that, you really want to have some takeaways and the main one for sure, is that life is short and we know we say it, it’s on bumper stickers and stuff, but we really truly don’t know, we just don’t know,” Mathison explained. “We never know what tomorrow is going to bring.”

He added, “And to make the most, to make life as meaningful as possible while you can. From a health perspective, on a tangible basis, just to really be in-tune with your own body, listen to your body, listen to what happens when you eat something and it doesn’t feel right, really be in tune with it, because your body could be telling you something. It’s saved my life.”

The talk show host and actor revealed that he had to fight to get an MRI for nearly two years before finding out he had cancer.

“I had to fight for an MRI,” he shared. “It took me two years to get one, so you’ve got to really listen to your body. I really believe that.”

It’s wonderful to hear that Mathison remains in remission, and we’re sure everyone wishes him all the best for continued good health and happiness!
