General Hospital: Kin Shriner Reveals Story That Never Paid Off – See How Greedy Decision Affected Scott

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin) isn’t shy about sharing his opinions on social media, so he recently spoke out about a story that he feels wasn’t given a real chance to shine.

It turns out Shriner’s complaint is mostly with himself since his own choices were a big factor in why that happened.

“I don’t think the Scotty Luke Laura story was ever paid off properly due to decisions made @GeneralHospital by me for a new soap in nyc #texas we all got gypped !!!” Shriner said in his post.

Of course, Shriner is referring to his love triangle story with Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and the character we now know as Laura Collins (Genie Francis), which got cut short when he accepted NBC’s offer to join a new soap called Texas back in 1980.

Kin Shriner has opened up about that on X before and indicated that the decision was lucrative at the time, but he ultimately viewed it as a mistake.

Fortunately, Shriner later made his way back to GH and reprised the role that so many fans have come to love over the years.

However, Scott’s story with Luke and Laura never reached its full potential due to Shriner bolting at the wrong moment.

Now that story is a distant memory, but Shriner still remembers it well and spoke about it as he shared an old soap magazine cover.

It’s always fun to enjoy blasts from the past like that, so plenty of fans were excited to see Shriner post about the old blunder.

Kin Shriner recently shared another pic of himself with Genie Francis in their younger years, so one longtime GH viewer piped up about all the good memories Shriner bought back.

“Thanks I too have so many fun memories of those days and sad those days are gone , but on to new things that are waiting !!!!” Shriner replied.
