General Hospital (GH) news reveals that show alum Billy Miller (Jason Morgan, Drew Cain) passed away on September 15, and now new details about his death have emerged.
It was reported at the time that Miller, who experienced bipolar disorder, died after taking his life just two days before his 44th birthday.
He died in his Austin, Texas home and the Travis County Medical Examiner’s coroner reports that the star was discovered in his bathtub “with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
Multiple letters indicating sᴜɪᴄɪᴅᴀʟ intent and instructions for others were found at the scene. A revolver chambered for .410 shotgun shells was found in the [decedent’s] right hand.”

The coroner indicated that “Postmortem toxicology demonstrated the presence of ethanol, cocaine, and its metabolites, diphenhydramine, and amphetamine.”
Following his tragic death, the actor’s mother Patricia Miller told Soap Opera Digest that her son “fought a long, hard, valiant battle with bipolar depression for years. He did everything he could to control the disease.”

According to the New York Post, Miller was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas and as a child spent five years as a patient at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.
Miller later attended Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas and he received a communications degree from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.
