There’s much speculation surrounding Nicholas Alexander Chavez’s General Hospital status. It was confirmed that the Emmy winning actor would take a temporary leave from TVs longest running drama. Chavez is starting in the Netflix thriller Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story as Lyle Menendez.
General Hospital news reports confirm that Nicholas Chavez’s last air date was January 31, 2024. Previously, GH Blog shared news regarding Chavez’s GH status. According to GH spoilers, Nicholas Alexander Chavez’s exit was only temporary. In fact, GH spoilers reported that he’d return to GH in about three months time. However, updated GH news reports indicate that it’s not likely he’ll return to General Hospital. Recent clues have led to the latest reports on Chavez’s GH status.
Back on March 27th, GH Blog observed and shared a major clue about Chavez’s future with General Hospital. Instagram revealed that Chavez had removed all GH related images and unfollowed the GH cast on X. Aside from Executive Producer Frank Valentini, Nicholas doesn’t follow anyone at GH.

Moreover, GH news broke when fans noticed that Chavez’s name was removed from the television credits. This along with Chavez’s recent social media activity led fans to believe that h won’t be returning to GH as Spencer Cassadine.

General Hospital Spoilers: Sneak Peek – Jason Steals Sonny’s Office, Causes Furious Showdown
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the show recently put out a sneak peek from the episode that’ll air on Tuesday, April 9. We should mention that eclipse coverage is happening on Monday, April 8, so that’ll bring a preemption and delay the drama in Port Charles a little longer.
However, Tuesday’s episode will be worth the wait if the sneak peek clip is any indication!
It kicks off with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) leading Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) into the Corinthos Coffee building and getting her gratitude for walking her over from the parking lot.
Diane admits this isn’t the best area of town, so there’s probably a good reason for that line of dialogue.
It could be a way to set up an attack on John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) if he’s keeping tabs on Jason and gets jumped.
We know Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will spot an injustice happening from her SUV and cause a commotion to stop it.
GH spoilers say John will face a disturbing situation, so Carly will apparently step up to help him.
As for Jason and the rest of the sneak peek video, Diane asks why he wanted to meet there in the first place.
Jason opens the door to the nearby office and informs Diane that it’s going to be his now.
When Diane insists that’s Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) office, Jason says “not anymore” and makes it clear that he’s stealing it for himself.
That’s where the sneak peek clip ends, but we know Jason’s going to provoke Sonny’s fury with this news and set the stage for quite a showdown.
Sonny was already angry with Jason, but now he’ll be even more outraged than before.
Of course, Jason will keep doing whatever he has to do to keep John pacified and ultimately bring down Pikeman.
Taking over Sonny’s office will fit in Jason’s plan and could perhaps make him more visible as bait, but Sonny isn’t going to like this one bit.
