Most Sister Wives fans vividly remember Kody Brown’s infamous “beer and Skittles” speech.
He said it in reference to his marriage crumbling with Christine Brown and explained to viewers that plural marriage wasn’t always “beer and Skittles.” However, many Sister Wives viewers thought the line was fairly odd and comparable to his “knife to the kidneys” moment.
And it seems fans weren’t the only ones who thought that. Christine Brown recently made a joke at Kody’s expense over the “beer and Skittles” speech. What exactly did she say and how did fans react?
Christine Brown and David Woolley throw shade at her ex-husband
Since leaving Kody Brown, Christine has had quite a bit of fun at his expense. She and her new husband David often post subtle jokes on their social media channels.
And recently, they just shared another one.
“We’re heading to the @charlottemotorspeedway for the Coca Cola 600 in May and we’re wondering what snacks to bring. #beerandskittles #kylelarson #cocacola600 #cocacola600weekend #nascar,” the mother of six captioned her Instagram post.
She attached a photo of herself and David holding up some tasty treats. But the beer and Skittles joke was not at all lost on fans.
Overall, Christine’s audience members seemed to think the joke was hilarious and in great taste. Fans occasionally think Christine’s jokes about Kody are rude and unbecoming for her character. But others love the jokes and can’t wait to see more.

After watching Christine live miserably with Kody for decades, fans were delighted to see her pack up and leave during Season 17. While Kody and Robyn continue to live in angst and unhappiness, Christine Brown and David Woolley are genuinely happy and in love.
On top of that, even Meri Brown has moved on and found someone new to spend her life with. Not much is known about Meri’s new boyfriend Amos yet, but fans think details will come in time. Perhaps Meri will join Christine and poke fun at Kody Brown sometime soon.
