Steve Burton’s highly anticipated General Hospital return has opened the floodgates for the discussions of many such returns that would actually make the fans rejoice. One name that sits right on top of the list is – Blackie Parrish. It is a whisker short of a whole decade since we saw the Pop Star in Port Charles. But the widespread GH fandom thinks it’s about time that he resurfaces into the light!
For the unversed, Blackie is Laura’s adopted brother on General Hospital. He was portrayed by actor John Stamos. An absolute fan favorite! The last we saw of him was when he took the fall for his girlfriend’s accidental death. He did a two-year stint in prison. But he hasn’t really been seen since 2014. He was, in fact, supposed to perform in the Nurses Ball of 2014, but due to schedule conflicts, it didn’t really pan out.
Although there haven’t been many mentions of him in General Hospital, we can still assume that he is probably on musical tours around the globe. However, off-late, there has been a return of the musical scene in Port Charles, too. With Blaze in the spotlight and Brook Lynn Quartermaine handling the deals, if the makers decide to bring Blackie back, we feel this is a great time for it. They can easily integrate him back into the story by making BLQ bring him back to PC for a concert with Blaze.
Blackie Parrish Finds New Love On General Hospital
And the story can go on from there the way it usually does on General Hospital. Blackie may cross paths with one of the many beauties in PC, and sparks could fly. Thus keeping him anchored in town for much, much longer! If we had to pick a romance for him, we do have two names popping right into our minds – Carly and Lois. You see, 2024 spoilers have already previewed that Carly and Drew are going to be on thin ice, facing many troubles in the upcoming episodes.
So, if Carly breaks up with Drew and does not waltz right into Jason’s arms, then a Blackie – Carly track would be perfect on General Hospital. The other option, Lois, is just as viable! In fact, it would make a lot more sense! If BLQ brings him to town, the odds are high that he will bump into her mum – Lois. Super charming and glaringly single! We don’t see why sparks wouldn’t fly!
However, for any of this to happen, John Stamos will have to get on board on General Hospital. Because there are some characters that just won’t work with a recast, and Blackie is one of them! No one can replace John in that character! What do you say? Tell us in the comments.
