Meri Brown’s True Self Revealed, ‘Cosplaying’ Her Entire Life?
While Meri Brown was married to Kody Brown as his first wife, she was just there for much of the time. Janelle Brown was the worker bee while Christine Brown was the happy little homemaker. Then, Robyn Brown came in and was essentially the favorite wife. She gave Kody all he wanted and desired. Meri just wanted love and to be included in the plural family. Eventually, she did want more for her life which is where the B&B came in. However, she only had one child with Kody so she was not really tied to him, just the family.
Kody made it clear there was nothing left between them for around a decade. Eventually, Meri spent a lot of time at her B&B in Parowan, Utah with her best friend, Jenn as well as traveling to enrich and enhance her life. Now that she has left Kody officially, Meri seems to be a completely different person. So much so that a Reddit thread was just started to discuss this. The OP wrote:
- I have been one to drag Meri to hell for what I have believed to be Meri cosplaying her entire existence. (I know she was set up for it from her childhood). She appeared to be lacking in accountability and disingenuous while expecting others to be accountable and accommodating to her.
Under those circumstances I could see why J & C wouldn’t be willing to continue that same relationship, but this version of Meri isn’t just Kobyn free, she seems genuine and thoughtful and I am so here for the Meri redemption arc.

Not The Villain
Sister Wives fans are definitely excited to see what is in store for Meri Brown and where her story leads. They are also hopeful that the OG3 can fully reconcile.
- Now that the OG3 aren’t mired in Kody-muck, I hope they get to a better place with each other.
- Yeah there’s no redemption arc because Meri was never a villain.
- Meri deserves to be her authentic self, I can’t wait to see more of her.
Hopefully, she will find the happiness that she so desperately wants and deserves. Even during Christine Brown’s Wedding Special, despite not being invited, Meri seemed genuinely happy. So, for that, it will be amazing to see how she thrives.
