GH Spoilers: Jason’s Emergency on Liz’s Doorstep – How Steve Burton Reenters the Action in Port Charles?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that new 2024 preview info points to some interesting story developments for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). For starters, Liz and Hamiton Finn’s (Michael Easton) relationship will be put to the test thanks to the malpractice lawsuit he’s facing.
Elizabeth has resolved to help Finn navigate this tricky situation, so she’ll prove quite beneficial to him along the way.
Even so, this is a stressful situation that’ll bring some new hurdles and could create some problems for this couple as well. It’ll be interesting to see how things turn out for Liz and Finn in the end.
Regardless, there’s an upcoming storyline for Liz that we really want to highlight. GH Co-Head Writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor offered some intriguing hints in SOD’s 2024 preview.
“A little while into the new year, Elizabeth will be stunned when a presence from her past ends up on her doorstep needing her assistance,” the duo promised.
There are some big clues in that teaser, so let’s think about this for a moment.
The timing certainly fits for this past presence to be Jason since his return is currently in the works.
Of course, it’s possible it’ll be Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) instead, but it’s worth mentioning that his preview info is mostly focused on Ava Jerome (Maura West) and hints about a possible romance with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).
With that in mind, we at least need to consider this other option since it’d be such a great twist if Jason was the one who stunned Liz and needed her help.
There might be some situation where Jason is injured, but he’s too afraid to come out of hiding and get help at the hospital.
Jason might need Liz to patch him up, so her medical expertise could be why he chooses her doorstep over anyone else’s.
That doesn’t necessarily mean any kind of romantic reunion will happen between Jason and Liz, but it’d be nice to tie in their history and have her hide him until he’s ready to expose his comeback to Port Charles.
Jason may have to take care of some enemy before he can make his presence known to the rest of PC.
If Jake Webber (Hudson West) comes downstairs and finds his dad alive, that could certainly add to the drama!
Bottom line, there are some excellent reasons to rope Liz into Jason’s return arc, so stay tuned for updates on whether he’ll bring the shocking news that’s in store for her.
