GH Recap: Monday, October 16 – Michael Records Martin’s Nina Confession – Sasha’s Texas Fresh Start

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, October 16, reveals that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) discussed their early return home from Puerto Rico with Wiley Quartermaine (Viron Weaver).

Willow was curious about the business Michael had to get back for, so he hinted about needing confirmation on some info before taking the next step.

Michael confessed this could be a game-changer and took off after threatening Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) into a meeting over the phone.

As Wiley ate a snack and gushed about how fun the wedding was, Willow flashed back to bonding with Nina and seemed pleased.

In Michael’s office, Martin arrived and acted like they had nothing to discuss.

Michael insisted he knew Martin was the one who turned in the SEC tip on behalf of a client – and he knew who that client was.

Michael just needed confirmation and suggested that if he didn’t get it, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) would deal with Martin his way.

However, there was no reason for Sonny to know about Martin’s involvement if he came clean.

Martin caved in and admitted Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was the client who supplied the tip on Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) insider trading.

Michael told Martin that he could go and played a phone recording of Martin’s Nina confession once he was alone.

At the Metro Court, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) pitched Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) on the idea of her becoming the new Face of Deception.

Blaze agreed to think it over and get back to them soon, but she had a plane to catch for now.

Maxie worried to Lucy about putting the cart before the horse and felt she needed to give Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) a heads-up on Blaze potentially replacing her as the face of the brand.

Meanwhile, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) found Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) at home packing boxes of her belongings and realized she was leaving town.

Sasha admitted she was headed to Austin, Texas, where she wouldn’t be reminded of painful mistakes everywhere she went.

Cody felt like Sasha should stick around since she had people who loved her in Port Charles and acted like his own mistakes were far worse.

Talk eventually turned to Mac Scorpio (John J. York) as Cody admitted how and why he’d deceived him about the paternity results.

Cody didn’t think he deserved a dad like Mac, but Sasha praised over all the wonderful things Cody had done for her.

When Maxie arrived on Monday’s GH episode, Cody took off and let her talk to Sasha alone.

Sasha explained her reasons for leaving Port Charles and insisted her mind was made up, so Maxie accepted the news.

After Sasha asked what brought her by, Maxie said she just missed her friend and never mentioned the spokesperson change since Sasha was leaving anyway.

On the island, Kristina Corinthos (Kate Mansi) quizzed Sonny and Nina about why they decided to elope before heading to the chapel.

That’s where Kristina was stunned to see Blaze, who flew to Puerto Rico to see her abuela.

Blaze mentioned that her abuela previously worked at the hotel and talked about visiting the chapel to light a candle and say a prayer.

As Blaze smiled and stepped closer to Kristina, she suggested it must be fate for them to run into each other like this.

Meanwhile, Sonny quizzed Nina about her new bracelet and learned it came from Willow. Although Sonny encouraged Nina to wish on a shooting star, a blissful Nina acted like there was nothing left to wish for.

Back in PC, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) stopped by Kelly’s for updates on Drew’s condition and to check on Carly regarding the elopement.

Carly confessed her messy emotions since she’d moved on, but knowing Sonny was marrying Nina still stung.

That said, Carly was devoted to Drew and wanted Sam to know that, so Sam confirmed she did and gave her a hug.
