GH Spoilers: Scarlett Fernandez Reveals Tumor Removal – Shares Surgery News with GH Fans

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Scarlett Fernandez (Charlotte Cassadine) recently had a real-life health crisis, which led to her hospitalization. On Instagram, Fernandez shared some news about her tumor removal surgery and let everyone know her recovery is going well.

“Tyler the tumor has been evicted! Thanks to my amazing surgeon, Dr. Bell and all the wonderful nurses at @stlukeshealth #fakehospitals>realhospitals #nonossifyingfibroma #godisgood,” Scarlett Fernandez said in her caption.

Based on the hashtag she used, Fernandez indicated that she’d been diagnosed with a non-ossifying fibroma. Fortunately, it sounds like the surgery was a success, so Fernandez is now on the mend.

Fernandez seems to be in good spirits based on the smile in the photo she shared from her hospital bed.

Since Fernandez even named her tumor “Tyler,” that also says a lot about her positive approach to all this.

Fernandez shared another pic of her bandaged and elevated foot following her procedure.

It’s a relief to know that Charlotte is recovering nicely, but we’ll be sure to pass along any other important updates on her condition.

As for what’s happening with Scarlett Fernandez’s GH character, Charlotte is facing a recovery of her own as she continues to deal with both physical and emotional wounds.

As Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) pointed out, the emotional trauma will be far more difficult for Charlotte to overcome.

That’s especially true since Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) has manipulated Charlotte and brainwashed her into believing Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is the enemy.

It may be a long time before Charlotte can truly deprogram and stop thinking of Anna as some kind of monster.

Thankfully, Charlotte has a lot of people in her corner, including Valentin, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), Jake Webber (Hudson West), Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) and more.

It’s obvious that Charlotte needs professional help – perhaps more than even Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) can give.

That’s something Valentin will have to keep in mind as he works to give Charlotte all the support she needs.
