GH Spoilers: Nina’s Tearful Confession to Sonny – Husband’s Unexpected Reaction to SEC Snitch?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the pressure’s rising for Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) now that she’s being blackmailed by Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). It’s the kind of thing that could eventually make Nina crack and reveal the truth to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Nina was behind the anonymous tip to the SEC, which led to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) facing all kinds of trouble for insider trading.

However, Nina couldn’t have known how far things would spiral out of control when she reported that crime.

Now Nina’s stuck juggling more lies since Michael’s forcing her to sell Carly’s half of the Metro Court back.

Sonny and Carly are understandably suspicious of Nina’s sudden offer, so Nina’s once again dealing with the drama of her deception.

Michael is also controlling Nina’s access to Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and the grandkids, so it’s been a lot to deal with.

Sooner or later, Nina may decide this is all just too much to bear.

There may be some slipup that leaves Sonny with more questions – or maybe Sonny will catch Michael in a confrontation with Nina and grill her afterward.

Regardless, Nina could eventually break down and let the whole truth pour out.

Perhaps Nina will confess to ratting out Drew and Carly before revealing her regrets.

Sonny knows what it’s like to feel vengeful and make risky moves as a result.

Of course, Sonny also understands how lies can go too far and lead to a breaking point.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) was ordered to spy on Sonny and eventually pushed for shady Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) to care for Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

Ava kept secrets that directly affected Avery’s safety, but Sonny wasn’t really all that mad.

In fact, Sonny poured Ava a drink and suggested she must need it! We saw Sonny show sympathy and agree to help Ava, a woman he barely used to tolerate.

If Sonny would be that compassionate with Ava, could he be that compassionate with Nina – the woman he loves and chose to marry?

Sonny won’t be happy about Nina’s actions, but he might try to understand and agree to help her keep this news out of Willow’s hands.

Maybe Sonny will have a little man-to-man talk with his blackmailer son and warn Michael to back off!

It’d be a great twist if Sonny revealed that he knows about Michael’s original plot to put him in prison using Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).

Michael thinks he got away with almost putting his father in Pentonville, but what if Sonny’s aware of that and only overlooked it because Michael learned his lesson?

Perhaps Sonny actually knows more than GH fans are giving him credit for – at least when it comes to Michael’s former scheme.

It’d be a good reminder for Michael that nobody is squeaky clean, including him.

On the other hand, Sonny might suggest a different strategy to Nina.

It’s possible Sonny will urge Nina to unburden herself with Willow too and hope that their bond is strong enough to survive the confession.

No matter how this plays out, General Hospital spoilers say Michael can’t keep blackmailing Nina until the end of time, so stay tuned to see if she’ll give Sonny updates on her SEC snitching.
