General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) devotion to Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) has been causing all sorts of problems in his relationship with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).
Trina was relieved to hear that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) wanted to move out with Ace, which offended Spencer since he felt like Trina should be on his side.
However, Spencer is being unrealistic about this living arrangement lasting forever.
It’s easy to see why Trina walked out on Spencer since Esme is part of the Ace package.
Does Spencer really just think he can co-parent under one roof with Esme indefinitely and live a separate life with Trina on the side?
Trina wants Spencer to put her first for a change, but he may not be capable of that – at least not at this point in the story.
Maybe what Spencer needs is a wake-up call in the form of some competition.
If a new man comes into Trina’s life and stirs up some jealousy, that could be a game-changer. It’d be simple enough for the show to cast a new guy to throw in the mix.
Of course, Trina had Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) before “The Hook” took him out, but he was always a little too bland and overly sweet.
Perhaps the show could have someone edgier catch Trina’s eye – someone Spencer might feel the need to protect her from.
Then again, there are other options if they don’t want to include a new cast addition.
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) has developed a friendship with Trina, so GH writers could let that build into something more to create a love triangle with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Adam Wright (Joshua Benard) has also expressed romantic interest in Trina before, so he might be another option to consider somewhere down the line.
Whatever the case, Trina shouldn’t have to wait around until Spencer decides he can be a good boyfriend.
It’d be interesting to include another guy in this storyline and see how Spencer would react!
