General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) managed to move beyond their complicated history and become close friends. Ava and Nina have proven they’re loyal to each other, so there’s a certain level of trust between them.
Unfortunately, that could change now that Nina’s marriage is in limbo and Ava is growing closer to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Sonny has softened toward Ava a great deal in recent years, so that’s important to keep in mind.
When Sonny insisted on Ava living with him until the threat was eliminated, that certainly got fans’ attention. It seemed like a huge step on the path to Sonny cheating with Ava.
Sonny also came to Ava’s rescue in Puerto Rico, so that’s just further proof that the show’s developing their bond.
Later, Nina talked to Ava about how she couldn’t be there for Sonny right now, but she wanted Ava and Sonny to be there for each other.
Doesn’t that seem like a rather ominous clue about Nina basically handing over her husband to her bestie?
The trust Nina has placed in Ava may come back to bite her if her BFF hits the sheets with Sonny!
Ava offered a comforting hand on Sonny’s shoulder after Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) presumed demise, so the show’s offering plenty of hints about Sonny and Ava getting too close for comfort.
Will Sonny have an affair with Ava or at least hook up with her?
Ava will always be connected to Sonny through Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), but now it feels like they’re truly becoming decent friends as well.
That could easily lead to Sonny and Ava crossing a sizzling line, so we won’t be surprised if Nina walks in on them in bed together or at least finds out in the aftermath.
Since Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is so obsessed with making sure Nina loses everything good in her life, maybe he could play a role in exposing Sonny cheating with Ava.
Whatever the case, Nina and Ava’s friendship era might be over soon enough. Ava and Nina’s relationship may take a nosedive into enemy territory, so stay tuned for updates on how a Sonny twist might drive them apart.
