Sister Wives star Robyn Brown revealed what she thought of Kody Brown when she first laid eyes on his living conditions in Utah years ago. Let’s face it, if you are willing to overlook that your man is already taken by three other women, you are an open-minded gal.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown Found Oddities In His Ladies
Last season Kody Brown shared an awful story of how he met and married Meri Brown. He basically said she manipulated him into marriage.
He also shared a while back that when he eyed a chunky Christine Brown eating he had second thoughts about pursuing her as his third Sister Wives bride.
So, Kody not only had some horrible thoughts but he shared them through one venue or another with the Sister Wives fans.
Kody said that the ick-factor surfaced when meeting Robyn. He said this after finding out she was married once before and had kids.
So Papa Brown from Sister Wives hasn’t been very nice when describing his wives over the years. But Robyn had some thoughts about Kody Brown that bordered on strange when she first met her future husband.
Robyn Brown Meets Her Future Husband
Robyn Brown was aware of the Sister Wives’ patriarch’s high opinion of himself when she first met him. She had to be, especially after sharing the story of meeting his Sister Wives family for the first time.
Before she did that, she met Kody and his first bride, Meri Brown. Kody took Meri out for a ride when they met Robyn by chance.
They stopped by a friend’s house during that ride. Apparently, the friend was having some kind of gathering and Robyn was there. She is the cousin of that friend.
So, one thing led to another and with Meri Brown’s coaxing, Kody started to court Robyn. But when the time came to meet his other two wives, Robyn was nervous.
Sister Wives: An Invitation From Kody
For Robyn Brown’s part in all this, she too needed coaxing. That came from her cousin. Kody invited Robyn to his home. They lived several hours away from each other in Utah.
This was back during the time that the Sister Wives were only made up of three women. But they all lived in the same home together with their shared husband.
Robyn remembers telling her cousin she didn’t even have enough money for gas to get there. Apparently, her cousin remedied that and went along with her.
It was when they pulled up to the Sister Wives‘ house that Robyn Brown could see just how Kody Brown was already trying to impress her.
Line Them All Up
The woman who would soon become Sister Wives lady number four writes in a book what she saw pulling up to Kody’s house. The title of that book “Making of Sister Wives – The Story of An Unconventional Marriage” was penned by the five Brown adults.
Robyn Brown said the first thing she did was turn to her cousin and ask a question. She asked her if this was an episode of MTV Cribs. This show started back in 2000.
Each episode explored the home of celebrities. It was a window into their private lives. Apparently, the cars parked just so, like they were on display reminded her of that show.
It seems Robyn asked that question after seeing three new convertibles strategically posed in the driveway. So, when she pulled up she got to see one of the benefits of becoming Kody’s Sister Wives bride.
Sister Wives: Lure Robyn In
Apparently, he meant to entice Robyn into marriage with these flashy cars. It sounds like they screamed you too can enjoy this.
Well, from a woman who couldn’t scrape together a few bucks for gas, this probably was alluring. Once inside, Robyn describes the feeling of being on display. While everyone was cordial, it didn’t have the feeling of a welcome with open arms Sister Wives event.
Anyway, despite knowing Kody like to put on a show, she married him. Again, the woman had no money for gasoline, so all this had to look like a step up.
Still, it was love that made the eventual decision for her. Who knew that 10 years later Kody would look more favorable at a monogamous marriage. The fed-up Sister Wives husband of four has his say below.
