On the newest episode of Sister Wives, Kody Brown made a confession that no one was surprised by. He fessed up to being a ridiculous hypocrite. And, a controlling one to boot. What exactly was it that got Kody Brown to be so candid with what kind of man he was? Keep reading for the scoop.
Kody Brown Barred His Family From Piercing
Within their faith, getting pierces was a huge “no.” Turns out, Christine, Janelle, and Robyn all had piercings before they met Kody. Janelle Brown was the first to remove her piercings. While she thought it was a bit silly, she had no problems complying with Kody.
Kody Brown cringed as he recalled Christine having multiple piercings. While Christine had regrets about it, she affirmed that she also removed her piercings out of respect for her husband. Things, however, got a bit dicey when Robyn came into the picture. She was not willing to give up her piercings without getting something in return.
Robyn explained that she told Kody Brown she would remove her piercings. But, he would have to “stop being a grump” during the holiday months. She explained that she didn’t want to spend Christmas with such a grumpy man.
Now, this also meant all of Kody Brown’s children were barred from getting anything pierced until they turned 18. Now, Kody Brown admitted he had no idea when his other children started getting piercings. He, however, knew it happened sometime. Janelle clarified she was pretty sure her children waited until they were 18.
Change Of Heart With Robyn?
While Robyn Brown claimed she has no idea when or why Kody had a change of heart, fans believe they know. In fact, fans think Kody had to change his opinions on piercing because his favorite wife wanted her ears pierced. Moreover, Robyn started a jewelry business. Somewhere along the time, Kody Brown realized he was being ridiculous and changed his perspective on it.
So, when Aurora wanted her ears pierced Kody allowed it to happen. Moreover, he doted on her for not getting her ears pierced without his permission out of respect toward him as her father.
Kody Brown Fesses Up: Hypocrite With A Secret
Now, by the end of the segment on piercings, Kody Brown had a confession to make. He had a secret. His body was not void of any piercings. In his youth, he got a piercing with his mother’s blessing. He knew it made him a bit of a hypocrite. And, all of his wives pretty quick to call him on being a “little hypocrite.”
Janelle Brown added she knew all about his piercing because Kody really wanted to be the “cool guy” when he was younger.
At the end of it all, fans thought it was pretty wild for Kody Brown to come in so strong and hard about piercings considering he once had one. Moreover, fans also thought it was a bit disrespectful to all his other children to get Aurora’s ears pierced after telling them all no.
