Sister Wives patriarch Kody Brown once did something so heinous that it was almost unbelievable, and that act may have been the catalyst for the destruction of the Brown family. While Robyn Brown remains with Kody, who recently claimed that he’s no longer interested in having more than one wife, he could be trying to save face. Kody was frequently ripped apart before he missed his daughter Ysabel Brown’s scoliosis operation, but the hate intensified exponentially after he let down his child, who was in pain and needed her father.

Did Christine Plan To Leave Kody After He Missed Ysabel’s Operation?
Christine had been storing up rage for a long time, and Kody skipping Ysabel’s surgery could have put her over the edge. She already had major issues with Kody. Way back when, she was extremely jealous of Robyn. Kody’s fourth wife Robyn stole Christine’s thunder, and Meri and Janelle Brown’s too. However, Christine showed how she felt. Her emotions were so intense that she couldn’t hide them. It was actually heartbreaking to watch Christine deal with her jealousy. She used to be the youngest wife, and then Robyn took her place.
Christine and Kody never had the best chemistry. She’s more hot-tempered than his other wives, but then again, she’s a nurturer. She was the one who made sure the children had delicious meals. Christine did so much housework, making their home a truly pleasant environment. She looked after the kids, loved to bake, and the whole nine yards. These appealing qualities weren’t enough for Kody. He wanted a different type of woman. Christine wanted a man who loved her with all his heart, and Kody’s not that man.
So, Kody began pulling away, consumed with his love for Robyn, and weary of Christine’s complaints. Their love story, if there ever was one, was entering its dénoument. Kody spent less time with Christine, denying her the intimacy that she wanted. Then, he added insult to injury by choosing not to be present for Ysabel’s operation. It was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Christine may not have decided to leave right at that moment, but then again, she may have started thinking about it. Who wouldn’t?
Kody’s Problems With His Kids Strained His Plural Marriage
Kody’s decision to miss his daughter’s surgical procedure created so much tension. Ysabel was more hurt than angry. Christine was really disappointed. However, Kody has clashed with more than one child, and it’s safe to say that issues with kids will seep into their parents’ dynamics. Children may take sides, and in Kody’s case, they mostly seemed to take their mothers’ sides.
One of his kids, Gwendlyn Brown, has openly dissed her father and his fourth wife Robyn, citing their overspending. Paedon Brown and Kody have also feuded. In fact, Paedon once did something very shocking, by claiming that his dad never got vaccinated during the pandemic. There’s no way that Kody would have been happy to hear about that.
Whether Paedon’s remarks were true or not, there’s so much bad blood between Kody and his kids. Also, in the past, he had to deal with wives whom he mockingly referred to as “princesses.” Family relationships were fraying, and Kody was at the center of the storm. He seemed extremely bitter. Life is tough, even for reality stars, especially when they have 18 kids and a bunch of angry wives. It’s just too much to deal with, and something had to break.
Three wives fled, leaving the Coyote Pass dream in the proverbial dust. Kids scattered, distancing themselves from their controversial father. Christine led the exodus, perhaps as a result of Kody’s decision to stay with Robyn and her kids, instead of attending Ysabel’s surgery. His choice to skip the operation stands out from everything else he’s done. While he might truly believe that he did what was best, he made a decision that goes down in Sister Wives history, for all the wrong reasons.
