General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that fans are anxiously anticipating the return of Jason Morgan in Port Charles. His portrayer, actor Steve Burton, recently provided additional details around his official “start date” during his Daily Drama Podcast, which he hosts along with actor Bradford Anderson (GH’s Damian Spinelli).
GH Spoilers: Steve Burton’s First Filming Date Revealed
GH spoilers hint that fans should expect to see Jason Morgan’s return sometime in early March, possibly late February. That’s because Burton revealed during the podcast that he doesn’t have an “exact” start date; however, he is back to filming scenes as of the week of February 5th.
The soap first announced Jason Morgan’s return during their prime-time special, which aired in early January. The daytime drama has been hush-hush about what viewers can expect once Jason comes back in terms of specific timelines and storylines.
Burton started on GH in 1991 as “Jason Quartermaine” but after a car crash evolved into the popular “Stone Cold” Jason Morgan. The actor exited in 2012 and enjoyed a four-year run on the Young and the Restless (Y&R) playing Dylan McAvoy from 2013 to 2017.
Burton re-joined GH later in 2017; however, exited again in November 2021 due to the show’s COVID-19 vaccine policy. While he enjoyed reprising his 1980s role on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) in 2022 playing Harris Michaels, many GH fans are happy he’s heading back “home” to Port Charles.
Days fans should expect Burton’s final episodes as Harris to air in the spring.
GH Spoilers: Someone’s Excited To See Jason Morgan Return …
According to Soap Opera Digest (SOD), Evan Hofer, who plays Dex Heller on the show, is “really excited” to get the opportunity to work with Burton.
This is interesting since his character helped fill a void in Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) “coffee company” after Jason was presumed dead. Heller notes that Steve is “such a great guy” and “so beloved” on the show. The dynamic between Dex and Jason will likely keep fans glued to their daytime screens.
