GH Spoilers: Tuesday, January 9 – Esme Surprises Ava – Sonny & Carly Reconnect – Marshall’s Anger Erupts

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, January 9, reveal that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will make a vow to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), who’ll be worried about history repeating itself. It looks like Curtis will be at GH for some preliminary treatment steps, but Portia will express concern.

Portia might fear that if the procedure doesn’t work, Curtis will push her away like he did before.

However, Curtis will promise he’d never do that again and will offer reassurance as he prepares for what’s next.

In the waiting area, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will lash out at Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) for not being as supportive of Curtis’ procedure as he believes she should be.

If Stella can’t be all in, then Marshall will angrily warn her not to be there at all.

A lot of the tension may be the result of Stella and Marshall’s growing feelings.

Marshall and Stella are starting to think of each other in a more than friendly context, so they both seem afraid of complicating things for their loved ones.

At some point, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will catch up with Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) and admit she did something terrible – at least in her eyes.

Trina may offer updates on her Paris discussion with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and fear it was a mistake to make those plans when Curtis is facing this scary experimental treatment.

Of course, Curtis would never want to hold Trina back from living her life and enjoying amazing opportunities, so Stella may remind Trina of that.

Other GH spoilers say Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) will talk about the kiss they shared after skydiving, but they might agree it was simply something that happened in the heat of the moment.

Gregory knows he’s facing a grim outcome, so he may not be on board with pursuing an actual romance with Alexis.

Regardless, Alexis will want to help Gregory keep checking items off his bucket list, so it appears she’ll wonder what the next goal is.

At the PCPD, Ava Jerome (Maura West) will talk to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about the news that someone admitted to breaking in Wyndemere. The situation will confuse Ava since she won’t know why she has to be there when the culprit confessed.

Dante will eventually reveal that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) was the one who smashed her way into the castle, so a surprised Ava may wonder if “the old Esme” has returned.

Esme indeed has her memories back, but it sounds like she’ll keep pretending she’s in the dark on her past.

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will encourage Esme to tell the truth about what happened that night, but Esme seems poised to keep her memory flood under wraps.

Finally, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will comfort Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), who’ll crumble in his arms as she grieves over Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman).

After Carly confides in Sonny, he’ll talk about thanking Bobbie in his prayers as they share a warm moment together.

Naturally, the topic of Nina Corinthos’ (Cynthia Watros) SEC snitching may come up at some point, but Sonny will mostly want to keep the focus on Bobbie since that’s where Carly’s head is at right now.

General Hospital spoilers say Bobbie’s memorial service is coming up later this week, so stay tuned for a sad sendoff.
