General Hospital spoilers tease that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is getting way too chummy with Mr. Brennan (Charles Mesure), and the fans are here for it! Although we know Brennan is behind Pikeman, and he’s likely targeting Carly to get leverage over Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), we can’t help but suspect this flirtation between him and Carly is headed someplace hot! This is just the kind of chemistry fans were wishing could have developed between her and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
While few of them are clamoring for a flashback to those corny beach scenes in Jacksonville, some of them might be surprised at how easily Carly will let herself fall for Brennan while Drew is off playing in Australia.
General Hospital Spoilers — Is Drew Cain At Risk?
Is it just a coincidence that Drew is down under closing contracts while a dashing Australian has swept into town to sweep Carly off her feet? His charms aren’t lost on her, and she’s well aware that he’s interested, but Carly hasn’t migrated away from her love for Drew just yet.
It’s possible that she may learn Drew has actually been taken hostage by Pikeman or their similar contacts. But it’s also possible that Drew is going to be kept away on business just long enough for his love affair with Carly to burn out.
GH Spoilers – Claim Carly Spencer Falls Hard
While the cat’s away, the mice will play — or something like that. So far, Carly has been on her best behavior. She may have let this new man in town take her and Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) for hot chocolate, but that was the extent of it.
She certainly seems to light up whenever he shows up, and the fans are eager to see what might transpire with them before she finds out who he really is and what he’s up to. Of course, we expect that she’ll find that out far too late for her own good.
General Hospital Spoilers — Drew Cain Bows Out
We know how this ends. Drew is nothing if not the replacement to fill the space that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in Carly’s life.
On that note, it means he’ll have to be just as kind and courteous to her when he realizes she’s moved on with someone else — at least in her mind.
By the time he comes home from Australia, Carly will have developed an attraction to and interest in Brennan that she just can’t shake — and it’ll be equally as hard for Drew to ignore it.
Can we expect him to bow out as gracefully as Jason did when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) came home from Nixon Falls to reclaim his wife? You betcha!
In the end, Drew will step aside, just wanting Carly to be happy. But alas, she won’t be. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see where this plot line heads next.
