General Hospital Spoilers reveal Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) has already had a certain affection for stray cats, and it would appear her dorm mate, Adam Wright (Joshua Benard), is going to become her latest pet project.

She is still so stunned by how hard Adam’s parents are on him. The level of performance they expect is clearly a drain on Adam’s mental health, and it doesn’t seem like he’s even willing to consider that his parents are a part of his problem. Instead, his sole focus is on pleasing them and getting into med school.

Meanwhile, he has a med problem, and Joss is about to become acutely aware of it. While she already knows about his prescription, she has had her doubts about his inclination to abuse it.

Meeting Adam’s parents could change everything, but will it be for the better?

Joss hasn’t shied away from helping Adam. Whether it’s giving him an ego boost, helping him study, or checking his grade on an exam when he’s too scared to do it, she’s been his rock.

Rather, she’s the only rock — and friend — that he has. That may become clearer to her when it’s time for Adam to go home for the holiday season, and he becomes petrified to do so.

She’s been blessed to have such understanding parents who support her in everything she does and want her to be happy. So her own privilege may blind her to what is really going on with Adam.

When Adam ropes Joss into going home with him to be an icebreaker between him and his parents, she’s going to know how that looks.

She will want to make sure his parents know she’s only a friend — reminding him she’s spoken for. Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) probably isn’t going to like this, but he knows his girlfriend wears her heart on her sleeve.

Still, the commitment to go home with him will send a message to Adam that Joss likes him more than she’s letting on. All the while, she’s just looking out for a friend.

Of course, Adam’s parents know far more about his mental health history than Joss possibly could. She’s good at inserting herself into situations where she doesn’t have the upper hand.

Call it immaturity and naïveté. But when Adam comes under fire with his parents as they grow concerned he’s over educating himself again, it may be Joss who gets thrown under the bus as he blames her for giving him a supply. Joss…a drug dealer?
