GH Spoilers: Carly Cheats with Mr. Brennan – Betrays Drew After Charmer’s Relentless Pursuit?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Mr. Brennan (Charles Mesure) wasn’t able to secure another deal with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) through cash. GH fans watched as Sonny turned down Pikeman’s briefcase full of money, so now Mr. Brennan has to find another way to lock in his cooperation.
Of course, Brennan admitted that eliminating Sonny was still a possibility. It’s just the messiest option since it’d leave all the other mob families feuding for control – not to mention the police would be digging around.
It’s better for business if Mr. Brennan can find an alternative path to working with Sonny. Brennan alluded to using different leverage, so that could involve going after Sonny’s loved ones in various ways.
Since Mr. Brennan seems to be Australian and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) just took a trip to Australia too, that could be a huge red flag. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was supposed to fly out, but Drew agreed to go in his place at the last second.
That news could throw off Mr. Brennan’s plans if he perhaps hoped to abduct Sonny’s son by luring him into a trap. Brennan may have to improvise and hold Drew hostage instead, but that could actually work out well for him.
With Drew out of the picture for who knows how long, it could give Mr. Brennan a chance to seduce Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
Brennan was quite chatty with Carly during his first interaction with her at Kelly’s, so they seemed intrigued by each other.
Later, Mr. Brennan came back to flirt with Carly once more, so he eventually brought her flowers and even asked her out to dinner.
Although Carly rejected that invitation, we saw the potential for a real spark to develop. It could complicate things for Brennan if he seduces Carly as part of his plot and then genuinely falls for her.
Nevertheless, the heart wants what it wants. Mr. Brennan might step up to comfort Carly while she frets over Drew and while she mourns the loss of Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman).
Although Mr. Brennan initially might want to pull Carly closer and use her in his scheme against Sonny, that could change if he actually becomes smitten with Sonny’s ex-wife.
In that case, Brennan may become more willing to terminate Sonny – at least if Sonny stands in the way of what Brennan feels is true love.
Could Carly become Mr. Brennan’s weak spot? Will Brennan seduce Carly in his mission for leverage and find himself surprised over their actual connection?
Carly could cheat on Drew following Mr. Brennan’s relentless pursuit and get tangled up in more chaos than she bargained for!
