General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) seems to be done using Ava Jerome (Maura West) as leverage for now. GH fans know Cyrus ordered Ava’s kidnapping as a way to get Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) to secure his Pentonville release.
The plan worked since Austin came through for Cyrus and proved he was willing to do anything to keep Ava safe.
Cyrus understands that if he wants results, he has to find someone’s weak spot and exploit it.
That’s why Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) could be in grave danger since she’s so connected to both Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Cyrus has already been harassing Carly a bit – like when he strolled in Kelly’s to push for a job that he knew she’d never give him.
That visit was just about Cyrus making his presence known and unsettling Carly.
Cyrus also seems to think Drew owes him since he called for help after finding Drew beaten in the shower.
When Cyrus feels he’s owed something, he doesn’t stop until he collects the favor.
Since Drew’s not going to willingly do anything to help Cyrus, that could put Carly at risk. Putting Ava in danger worked to keep Austin in line, so putting Carly in danger could force Drew to cooperate, too.
Cyrus also knows the importance of family to Sonny, who’d do anything to keep the mother of his child safe.
Sonny is always going to care about his ex-wife and would stop at nothing to help her, so Cyrus may think he can use Carly to control Sonny as well.
Whether it’s through a kidnapping crisis or some other ordeal, both Drew and Sonny could have a reason to worry.
Perhaps Sonny and Drew could team up on a protection plan if they sense that Cyrus is getting too close to Carly for comfort.
Then again, joining forces could come in the aftermath of whatever stunt Cyrus is cooking up. If Carly ends up in a dangerous situation, it may bring Drew and Sonny together on a plot to rescue her and take Cyrus down for good.
