General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) may decide she’s not going to sit back and take Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) blackmail threat. Michael has decided that from now on, Nina needs his permission to see Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and her grandkids.
Furthermore, Michael has warned Nina to sell Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) back her half of the Metro Court.
Even when Nina tried to point out that Carly didn’t have enough money, Michael made it clear that she’d have to figure out a way to make it work.
Of course, we should point out that none of this makes sense considering Nina already offered to give Carly back her half of the Metro Court and got turned down!
Carly was too proud and stubborn to accept any of the other helpful offers she got either, so it’s no one’s fault but Carly’s that she doesn’t have her hotel half right now.
As for Michael controlling when and how often Nina sees Willow, that’s not a good look considering Willow escaped the horrors of Dawn of Day.
Willow is a grown woman who’s entitled to make choices for herself, but Michael’s making decisions for her and controlling the situation like a domineering cult leader who thinks he knows best.
Naturally, all this could be solved if Nina would just come clean about her role in outing Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to the SEC, but that doesn’t mean what Michael’s doing is right either.
Since Michael thinks Nina is the scum of the earth, he needs to give Willow and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) all the facts – not manipulate things with a blackmail plot. Most of us are ready for the big reveal by now anyway!
Michael is handling this all wrong, so he might open himself up to the same treatment from Nina at some point.
GH fans know two can play that game, so will Nina decide to fight back and dig up some dirt on Michael?
Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) owes Nina since he swore that her name would never be exposed as the SEC informant, but he was clearly wrong about that.
Nina might recruit Martin for help investigating Michael and hope he can help her score leverage.
Then again, Nina might do some research of her own – or maybe some incriminating info could land right in her lap.
There have already been moments in the past when Nina seemed a bit suspicious of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).
Maybe Nina could find out about Michael originally hiring Dex as a plant in Sonny’s organization and plotting to put his father in prison.
Michael went as far as obtaining a flash drive with footage of Sonny’s Pikeman dealings, so he could’ve caused total chaos by sending Sonny to the slammer and leaving his family vulnerable.
If Nina uncovers Michael’s big secret and Carly’s knowledge of it, it could offer a chance at a blackmail stalemate. Nina might counter Michael’s threat with one of her own and ensure Michael’s silence.
However, it could also lead to a situation where Nina opts to tell Sonny the truth about ALL of it and warns Michael that they should just let the chips fall where they may!
Either way, Nina might do some digging or at least eavesdropping to gain the upper hand. Michael could be in for a rude awakening if Nina turns the tables on him and offers updates on her new plans.
