GH Spoilers: Eddie’s New Accident Is a Game-Changer – The Real Ned’s Chance to Return?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that “Eddie Maine” aka Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) can’t stay the way he is indefinitely. Many viewers have already grown fed up with the “Eddie” storyline, especially now that Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) is in the picture.

Since “Eddie” was a fake persona that was closely tied to Lois, it feels like he should’ve remembered her right off the bat.

Other than a vague dream with Lois in it, “Eddie” has no recollection of the woman Ned’s alter ego used to love.

What’s the point of Ned being “Eddie” if he isn’t even going to remember things related to “Eddie’s” past?

This version of “Eddie” is just a blank rock-and-roller who doesn’t serve much purpose other than to complain about how he isn’t the man he used to be.

It’s time for GH writers to get the ball rolling on “Eddie’s” memory flood, especially now that we know Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will decide to keep quiet about Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) snitching on Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

That could put Ned back in the driver’s seat when it comes to the big reveal.

Michael will use Nina’s secret to have power over her, but Ned could throw off his plans if he remembers everything and blabs about Nina’s actions.

Regardless, perhaps “Eddie” will have another accident of some sort – one that could be a real game-changer. Maybe “Eddie” could hit his head and reverse whatever made him bury the real Ned.

That kind of thing has certainly happened on soaps before, so it’d be interesting to see “Eddie” face a surprise injury and get some sense knocked back into him.

Ned could still be the person who reveals Nina outed Carly and Drew to the SEC through Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), but he has to get his memories back first – including the ones from right before his pool tumble.

Will the story swing back to “Eddie” as the person who’ll ultimately expose Nina’s SEC tip? Will the real Ned finally get his change to return following a new accident?
