GH Spoilers: Carly Is Cyrus’ New Obsession – Wants Sonny’s Former Wife for Himself?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will have another tense encounter with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). GH fans will recall that Cyrus already crossed paths with Carly in Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) hospital room, where he tried to make amends.

Cyrus acted like any wrongs he committed against Carly in the past weren’t personal – not to mention they happened before he embraced religion.

Now Cyrus is trying to sell this “changed man” act, but he also has a very specific goal that could affect Carly.

It’s clear that Cyrus’ jealousy is driving his actions since he craves the life Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has. Sonny is a feared mobster, but he also has a loving family and gets respect from plenty of people in Port Charles.

That doesn’t seem fair to Cyrus, who isn’t happy about being treated like a villain with no hope of turning things around.

Cyrus has a warped idea of what a decent human being looks like if he thinks he’s one of the good guys! Nevertheless, it’s easy to see that Cyrus is on a mission to be more like Sonny.

With that in mind, Carly could become Cyrus’ new obsession. Since Cyrus is so fixated on having a life like Sonny’s and all the perks that come with it, he might go after his enemy’s former wife.

Cyrus might be delusional enough to think he can win Carly’s heart and live in the big Corinthos compound with her. It’d be a real thrill for Cyrus to swoop in and take what used to be Sonny’s, so more trouble could be looming.

Of course, there’s no way Carly would ever have any sort of romantic feelings for Cyrus. Carly could become pretty unnerved if Cyrus starts trying to pull her closer and ignores her romance with Drew in the process.

GH spoilers say Carly will launch a faceoff with Cyrus during the week of October 30-November 3, so their interactions are far from over.

If Cyrus continues to seek Carly out and perhaps tries to seduce her, it could put Carly in a tight spot.

It might be interesting if Carly pretends to be interested for the sake of setting a trap, but she could also just stand her ground and rile Cyrus up again in the meantime.
