Are Robyn and Kody Brown completely isolating themselves from the rest of the family?
It makes sense that Kody and Robyn wouldn’t be eager to spend time with the three former sister wives. However, Kody shares children with Meri, Janelle, and Christine. Many Sister Wives viewers expected that he would have some level of communication with his ex-wives, but that might not be the case after all.
New reports indicate that Robyn and Kody Brown have completely walled themselves off from the rest of the family. Is it possible that the family could break down even further?
Kody Brown is reportedly disinterested in maintaining contact with his exes
Ahead of the Sister Wives Season 18 premiere, several members of the Brown family have given interviews to entice fans to tune in. In Kody Brown’s PEOPLE interview, he said that he really just wanted to focus on moving forward.
And reportedly, that means having virtually no contact with any of his ex-wives.
“There is no communication,” an insider reportedly told The Sun. “If you’re seeing Kody and Robyn in places where the other Brown family members are, there’s no speaking going on between them.”
The source allegedly shared that Christine is focused on her fiance David while Janelle is spending a lot of time with Christine and building a spin-off with her. Janelle has also been spending more time with her kids.
As for Meri, the source says she’s completely checked out and mostly focuses on her friendships these days. It appears that she’s just as secluded as Kody and Robyn are.
“The only time Kody and Robyn get together with the other wives is when they’re forced to film with them or show up for a special occasion for their children, the remaining few they still have a relationship with,” the insider reported.
The last time all the Brown family parents gathered in one place was for Gwendlyn’s wedding over the summer. However, Kody and Robyn notably showed up late and didn’t pose for any formal pictures with the rest of the family.
Who really caused the rift?
Most Sister Wives viewers agree that Kody and Robyn are largely responsible for the Brown family breakdown. Meanwhile, the couple continues pointing fingers at everyone else.
The Sun shares that an eyewitness allegedly spotted Christine and Janelle Brown, David Woolley, and Maddie Brush during their Nashville trip. The witness reported that they seemed to be talking in tense tones and largely seemed to be venting about Kody and Robyn.
“Maddie, I believe, was the one who said the show became ‘volatile,’” the insider reported. “She also claimed Kody ‘cut them off.’”
