It was revealed to the audience in 2017 that Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) was the one who planted the bomb that killed Morgan. She was attempting to kill her brother, Julian Jerome.
Craig wanted to leave the show, so they killed off the character of Morgan. His goal was to pursue other projects.
However, he has always expressed a desire to return later. In 2018, he made a brief appearance in a dream sequence. That was the last time fans saw Craig appear as Morgan on General Hospital.
Sonny said no part of Morgan’s body was left from the explosion of the car. However, General Hospital has a knack for back-from-the-dead stories. It would not be a stretch for Morgan to have been alive all this time.
Perhaps a rival mobster kidnapped him before the car bomb exploded and has held him captive for years.
He might have fled to another country under an assumed name since he was going off the rails from not being on his medicine.
Perhaps he just straight-up faked his death like so many other soap characters. There could be so much potential for different storylines if Morgan came back.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What Would Happen if Morgan Returned to ‘General Hospital’
Morgan’s return could be an event that would unite Sonny and Carly (Laura Wright), and they may even get back together. The two of them could find happiness and love again.
Ava could have the kind of scenes that would showcase her spectacular talent, with her recounting to Morgan how she switched his real medicine with placebos to keep him and Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) apart.
All of Ava’s feelings when she first learned of Morgan’s untimely death would resurface. She would be guilt-ridden and relieved simultaneously, seeing that Morgan did not perish.
Morgan could reunite with his brothers, Micheal Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Dante Falconari (Dominic Zamprogna). General Hospital could mine its rich history for fresh storylines for the Corinthos clan.
Morgan could play a key role in helping heal Michael and Sonny’s rift. The two could finally put their differences aside and celebrate Morgan’s return.
Let’s not forget about his sisters, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Kristina Davis (Kate Mansi). There would be an emotional family reunion, and months of new stories could come from that.
Maybe Morgan’s survival would heal the Corinthos family and bring them back together. At the very least, it would restore a sense of peace.
