General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) may be the keeper of some big secrets – especially ones involving Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) and Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) mysterious boss..
In GH’s August 2 episode, Austin seemed uneasy when he realized Cyrus was his patient.
It seemed like more than just typical concerns about Cyrus’ reputation around town.
Of course, Austin’s discomfort got even worse when Cyrus grabbed his wrist following his examination and conveyed a message.
Cyrus talked about shattering every commandment, but he insisted he was now being given a second chance.
It certainly felt like Cyrus knew what Austin was capable of as well during that conversation.
Austin may not be as bad as Mason, but he’s no saint.
The show has alluded to some of the shady things in Austin’s own past, so there are definitely some wrongdoings that he’d like to leave buried.
Regardless, it’s interesting that Cyrus chose to make a comment about Austin’s relatives in that same episode.
Cyrus did it under the guise of extending the Lord’s protection and blessings to Austin’s family, but it felt more like a way to confirm he indeed knew about Austin’s background and who he worked for.
Based on Austin’s rattled reaction, Cyrus clearly knows too much! Austin seemed on edge after Cyrus’ comment, so he may have taken it as a threat.
Cyrus has always been the kind of character who’s privy to secret details anyway, so it makes sense that he’s sitting on plenty of info related to Mason and Austin’s boss.
Naturally, that still leaves questions related to how Cyrus is in the loop and what he might do with his knowledge.
Does Cyrus have a shocking connection to Mason and Austin’s boss?
Why was Austin so disturbed over that Cyrus conversation and the threat his new patient brought to the table?
Austin may worry that partnership between Cyrus and the mystery boss could bring even more danger, especially if they’ve partnered up in the past.
Then again, Austin might fear that Cyrus could somehow provoke his mysterious boss’ fury and unleash a feud that’d cause massive destruction.
Cyrus has always been a risky wildcard, so it’ll be interesting to see if he plays a role in the drama that’s brewing for Austin, Mason and their boss’ organization.
