General Hospital spoilers for the week of Monday, July 31-Friday, August 4 tease brainstorming sleuths and suspicious minds. Dante Falconeri, (Dominic Zamprogna) Anna Devane, (Finola Hughes) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) continue to develop a suspect, while Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is suspicious of Ava Jerome (Maura West).
General Hospital Spoilers: Brainstorming Sleuths
Anna is the first to arrive at the unplanned meeting at the Metro Court, and she’s sitting at a table drinking some red wine when Sonny shows up.
Sonny checks in on her and wants to know how she’s doing, since he hadn’t talked to her in a few days: she says she’s tired of hiding in her house. No further clues as to who the Metro Court sniper was or who the real target was have been found, other than the rifle used was traced to the WSB arsenal.
Dante spots the pair and joins them, and he talks to them about the shooting, that left an unintended victim, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) who may never walk again. Dante agrees that either Anna or Sonny must have been the intended target-he tells Anna the WSB wants her dead, to Sonny, or someone wants to kill him.
GH Spoilers: Suspicious Minds
But trying to figure out who fired the shots at the Metro Court isn’t Sonny’s only issue-he’s also trying to find out who Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) boss is. Ava came clean about presumably killing Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) and being blackmailed over it, and the suspicious nanny he hired, Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini).
Ava and Sonny had been discussing the situation at Sonny’s penthouse, where Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) had been dropped off and Betty had left. Carly had dropped in and realized she was interrupting something, picking up on the tense atmosphere and Sonny sent Avery home with her. Now, at Carly’s house, Ava is confronted by Carly-Ava tells her if there’s something to say, why doesn’t she just say it-Carly accuses her of being up to her old tricks!
General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos In The Middle
There is one thing that both of these situations have in common-Sonny being in the middle of them! There is a valid point that Sonny could have been the intended target, with the weapon traced to the WSB arsenal being stolen. However, the idea that Anna may be the target is just as valid since someone painted the word “murderer” in red on her door, lending credence to a revenge motive.
There’s a possibility also that the person Sonny’s trying to get to in order to solve Ava’s problem could be behind the shooting. This mysterious combination of circumstances may indeed take Dante, Sonny, and Anna together to solve the questions of who the shooter is and who’s behind Ava’s problems.
