General Hospital May Sweeps Preview: Sonny’s Prison Shocker, Wedding Drama, Pikeman Strikes and Special Guests

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that May sweeps is almost upon us, so we’ve got a preview of what you can look forward to. The drama’s about to heat up in Port Charles, so let’s discuss what’s coming up on the ABC soap.

For starters, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) wedding will be a May sweeps event.

The show will pull out all the stops with a memorable ceremony that’s packed full of guests.

Of course, plenty of Chase and Brook Lynn’s loved ones will be in attendance, including their friends and family in PC.

Brook Lynn will also welcome some relatives from Bensonhurst, including Carmine Cerullo (George Russo) and Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta) as they make GH appearances.

It looks like a couple of other family members named Gio and Cousin Patty will attend as well based on some leaked behind-the-scenes info, so Brook Lynn should be glad to have them at her nuptials.

Naturally, all eyes will be on Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) since his condition is worsening and will decline even further between now and then.

Will Gregory be able to make it through the ceremony without a major medical emergency?

Time will tell, but there could be another cause for concern since Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was hesitant to accept the invitation due to safety issues.

Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) ultimately reassured Sonny about the security and convinced him to come, but could that turn out to be a mistake?

There’s been some talk about potentially inviting Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) tool, so that could bring another route to danger since Pikeman wants him gone now that his cover’s been blown.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is running Pikeman at the moment, but there’s always a chance he may lose control if someone goes rogue or Jack Brennan (Charles Mesures) starts giving orders again.

The week of May 13-17 will bring lots of wedding action, so it’ll be interesting to see if any risky situations arise at the party.

Regardless, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) seems poised to move forward with Sonny’s arrest eventually, so that could bring another May sweeps shocker for Sonny and those closest to him.

As for Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and all her fears about Jason dragging Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) into trouble, will those fears prove warranted?

Some Danny danger is certainly an option depending on how things go with Jason now that he’s serving as Pikeman bait.

Meanwhile, Ava Jerome (Maura West) will pull Sonny even closer while keeping secrets about his altered meds, but her decision to hide things could come back to haunt her!

There are signs that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) might end up joining forces for Ava’s takedown, so we’ll bring you more predictions on all the mayhem.
