There’s a good chance Dante could wake up with short-term memory loss. He’ll likely remember loved ones, and recent events, but blackout when it comes to his shooting.

This would allow suspense around Jason’s future and freedom, without killing off one of the show’s most popular characters. There’s also a chance that Dante’s memory is completely wiped, so only time will tell.

Plus, there’s the JaSam factor. It looks as if Jason’s romantic storyline could center around Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).

As Sam is with Dante now, things could get sticky around a reunion, especially in light of any potential injuries Falconeri has sustained in the aftermath of his shooting.

If Dante dies, there is no love triangle, Sam feeling conflicted, or drama; however, if he lives, there would be.
