General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Reboot Needed – 4 Changes New Co-Head Writers Should Make

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is a key player in Port Charles and will no doubt remain that way once the new co-head writers’ work starts airing.

Former Co-Head Writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor supervised scripts that will air through March, but then Patrick Mulcahey and Elizabeth Korte’s collaboration will start driving the drama on-screen.

Of course, GH fans will be eager to see what writing adjustments and overhauls might happen after that.

Carly is one character who’s perhaps in need of a reboot, so let’s discuss four changes the new co-head writers need to make.

1) New path outside Nina’s orbit

Carly herself has admitted she wants to break free from Nina Corinthos’ (Cynthia Watros) orbit, so we say the writers should grant that wish!

No matter which side of the feud you’re on, most of us can agree it’s time for Nina and Carly to move on with their lives.

2) Stop constant career shakeups

Carly has been going through career shakeups that feel more like throwing things at the wall to see what sticks.

It’d be nice if Carly could get her half of the Metro Court back and be done with it – especially since it’d allow her character to focus on other things.

3) Fresh romance

Carly is overdue for a romantic reboot as well, so we’d like to see her split from Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and score a new chance at love.

A reunion with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or even a revived Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is possible, but something fresh and exciting would be better!

4) Restore Jason BFF status

Again, no one can rule out the idea of Jason and Carly reuniting romantically, but we’d say these two work better as friends.

Carly needs her BFF back as a guiding force in her life, so let’s hope Jason can slide back in that role once he’s back.
