General Hospital Update: Monday, January 8 – Willow & Michael’s Challenge – Tracy Strikes Back – Liz Surprises Carly

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, January 8, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will insist on doing things off the record as he tries to protect himself. Sonny is in enough trouble as it is since he beat Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) to a pulp on New Year’s Eve.

Of course, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) is a master at getting Sonny out of jams like this, so she’ll show up to work her legal magic and try to minimize the damage.

At Kelly’s, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will remember a special moment with Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) before someone knocks on the door.

Although Carly will shout that they’re closed, she’ll eventually realize it’s Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and let her in.

Liz and Carly have had their fair share of conflict in the past, but they can certainly agree about their love and admiration for Bobbie.

Once Elizabeth takes a stroll down memory lane with Carly, it’ll lift both their spirits – especially Carly’s since she’ll insist it’s just what she needed.

At the office, the jig will be up for Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) since Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) ran her own DNA test to confirm her suspicions.

Cody will seem irritated over Felicia’s sneaky move and will make a comment about deception running in the family.

Since Cody lied, he may wonder why Felicia even wants him to come clean to Mac Scorpio (John J. York) now.

Cody may argue that Mac’s better off without him for a son, but Felicia will disagree since she can see the bond they already have.

However, Cody could be facing criminal charges if he tries to untangle all his paternity lies, so he may push Felicia to keep quiet.

As for Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), she may be upset with Felicia for her DNA test on the down low and with Cody for lying in the first place.

Regardless, Maxie will eventually revisit the topic of Bobbie’s passing, so she’ll share some moving moments with Felicia as they console each other.

Other GH spoilers say Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will warn Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) about Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) connection to Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner). As far as Tracy’s concerned, Scott and Lucy’s bond can only lead to bad news.

It looks like Tracy will intentionally try to raise Martin’s suspicions, so he may be convinced if he witnesses a moment that seems too close for comfort!

That could easily happen once Lucy opens up about her complex relationship with Bobbie and uses Scott as her confidant.

Tracy will also give Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) updates on Lucy’s plot with Scott, which was the reason for all Scott’s strange flirting.

Brook Lynn may wonder if Tracy’s sure that Scott and Lucy are scheming, but Tracy will insist that’s what’s happening and will look forward to retaliating.

As for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), he’ll hope to make some progress in getting Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) to forgive him.

Willow won’t be ready to let her anger go, so she’ll focus on Bobbie’s demise and how they’re going to tell Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) that his great-grandmother’s gone.

It seems Michael and Willow will tackle that challenge as a team, but that doesn’t mean Willow will get past his betrayal anytime soon.

Finally, Josslyn Jacks (temporarily played by Courtney Fulk) will find out Michael’s known Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) was the rat for months, so she’ll be livid and will really let her brother have it on Monday’s show.
