GH Spoilers: Carly Runs Into Sonny’s Arms – Laura Wright Leaks Unscripted Moment & How Bobbie Grief Affects Exes

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will have a hard time getting over the shock of Bobbie Spencer’s (Jacklyn Zeman) sudden demise. Following the American embassy’s phone call from Amsterdam, Carly will struggle over the news that Bobbie passed away in her sleep.

Of course, Carly will have plenty of support from Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and others around Port Charles once the heartbreaking story spreads.

There’s even a sweet scene coming up between Carly and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) despite their rocky history over the years.

Carly will do some reflecting on her relationship with Bobbie and all her regrets now. Although they were on good terms, it’ll be tough for Carly to think about missed opportunities and all the things that were left unsaid.

However, Carly will find refuge at Kelly’s since the restaurant held a special place in Bobbie’s heart. It’ll be comforting for Carly to spend time there as she tries to process the fact that Bobbie’s really gone.

Later, Carly will get a visit from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), who’ll admit he got updates on Bobbie’s tragic fate.

GH spoilers say there’ll be some awkward tension initially, so Sonny will decide that maybe he should just leave Carly to grieve on her own.

That’s when Carly will pipe up to stop Sonny from taking off. Once Carly calls out Sonny’s name, she’ll run into his arms and crumble in her ex’s warm embrace.

In an interview with SOD, Laura Wright leaked the unscripted moment and talked about why she felt it was important to show that lingering bond between Sonny and Carly.

“He’s family,” Wright insisted. “He is the deepest family that she has, now that her mother is gone…I said, ‘I would run into his arms, not like, “Let’s make out,” but like, ‘No one knows me better than you.’”

Wright also talked about “the intimacy of the rest of the scene” and the walls that get torn down between Sonny and Carly.

Could this turning point lead to Carly and Sonny’s romantic reunion down the road? Will Sonny and Carly stick to friendly co-parenting instead?
