GH Spoilers: Charlotte’s Mental Institution Stay – Escape or Breakthrough For Valentin’s Daughter?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) will find herself at a crossroads, so she’ll have to figure out whether she’ll truly commit to getting better or head even further down the wrong path.

GH fans know Charlotte has exhibited some disturbing behavior thanks to Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) influence.

Victor’s letter and tarot cards were a bad combination for Charlotte, who became convinced that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was the enemy.

Of course, Anna’s split-second decision to pull the trigger on Charlotte may not do much to change her mind about that!

It could serve as proof in Charlotte’s mind that Anna is dangerous, even if it was partially Charlotte’s fault that Anna reacted the way she did.

However, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and the people in his secret circle bear plenty of blame in this situation as well.

Anna should’ve been told that Charlotte was the one who was tormenting her right away, but what’s done is done.

Now it’s just a matter of making sure Charlotte recovers in every way possible.

Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) expressed concern about Charlotte’s emotional state and felt that’d be more difficult to heal than her physical injuries.

It’s obvious that it’s going to take more than Charlotte bopping in Kevin’s office for half-hearted therapy sessions where she doesn’t really even open up.

Charlotte needs far more help than that, so she could be gearing up for a mental institution stay.

That could force Charlotte to decide whether she’ll commit to treatment or resist the help a bit longer. It all depends on how long GH writers intend to drag the story out.

It’s possible Charlotte could fly the coop once she lands in a mental health facility.

Charlotte is one crafty character so she could sneak out and go on the run if the show wants to make things worse before they get better.

On the other hand, this could be the start of Charlotte genuinely getting the help she needs.

Charlotte could have a breakthrough and finally free herself from the awful hold that Victor has on her, so stay tuned for updates on what that might mean for Valentin and Anna’s relationship.
