GH Spoilers: Sonny & Carly Back in Bed Together – Bold Move After Nina’s SEC Snitch Exposure?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are always going to love each other. Despite the divorce and all the issues they’ve faced in recent years, there’s a powerful bond between Sonny and Carly that can never be broken.

That bond was on full display in the August 2 episode, especially when Carly uttered a very significant line of dialogue.

Carly was talking to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) about Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) when she suggested it was hard being away from the person you love most.

However, Carly trailed off and locked eyes with Sonny immediately after uttering that line.

Even Sam seemed to pick up on the new vibe as Sonny entered Kelly’s to extend his support and hand over more Corinthos coffee.

Although Carly has fallen for Drew and cares a great deal about him, the writers were implying that Sonny is indeed the person Carly loves most.

This seems like a great stepping stone for the inevitable “CarSon” reunion that’s likely in the works.

Sonny is crazy about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), but part of him will always love Carly and perhaps long for what they used to share.

Carly and Sonny’s connection is still strong, but it could get even stronger due to a couple of important factors.

For starters, Drew was sentenced to three long years at Pentonville and is now in solitary confinement.

Carly’s romance with Drew obviously can’t progress in a situation like this, so that’ll work against her future with him.

Likewise, Sonny will soon have something working against his future with Nina as well. Once Sonny gets updates on Nina being the SEC snitch, he’ll no doubt blow his top and could easily stray from her bed.

Will Sonny land in bed with Carly instead? Carly assured Drew that she’d wait for him, but she may not be able to once Sonny turns against Nina.

Based on the mutual affection in Carly and Sonny’s latest scenes, it feels like something may be looming between them again.
