General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Josh Kelly (Cody Bell) has a brand-new gig that’ll allow him to explore a very different role. Deadline is reporting that Kelly, Peter Jae and UFC fighter Ashlee Evans-Smith have all been cast in James Cullen Bressack’s latest film, which is called The Workout.
In addition to that acting trio, Kristos Andrews, Augie Duke, BJ Hendricks, David Josh Lawrence and Galadriel Stineman will be in the film.
These talented cast members will all become part of some major action, so let’s talk about the premise of the movie.
The Workout is about a couple of army rangers who decide to make a workout video, but things go horribly wrong due to a mob hit.
After filming gets derailed, one of the rangers suffers a terrible loss after his wife doesn’t survive the attack.
That ranger then makes it his mission to go after revenge, which leads to even more danger along the way.
Challenging the mob is no joke, so there are sure to be plenty of risks and scary situations!
You might be wondering what this action film means for Josh Kelly’s status at GH.
There have been some concerns about Kelly possibly leaving since Cody has been getting some strange writing lately.
However, Kelly recently told The Daily Drama Podcast that “the timing magically worked out” and that “the show’s been really cool” about working with his schedule on this.
In other words, it doesn’t sound like this side project will make much of a difference when it comes to Cody, who seems to be sticking around despite the previous fears about Josh Kelly’s exit.
That’s good news if you want to see Cody and Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) relationship bloom since they’re definitely growing closer these days.
