Whitney Port‘The City’s’ bright lights are shutting down. Star Whitney Port confirmed the rumors that the the ‘Hills’ spin-off has been canceled.

According to Racked, the 25-year-old fashion designer gave the news to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Monday morning. “As of right now it doesn’t really look like we’re doing it anymore,” Port said. She also denied any possibility that the show might move from MTV to another network.

‘The City,’ which debuted in December 2008, followed Port, a friend and co-worker of Lauren Conrad, as she moved from Los Angeles to New York City. After half a season of low ratings, however, the show was revamped. Characters were dropped, while new faces were added. The second season focused more on Port’s career as a young fashion designer, but did not fare much better in viewership.
