In honor of Friday’s release of The Expendables, we’re taking a week-long look at the action films of Sir Sylvester Stallone — which is to say we’re skipping his comedies. Out of respect.
Title: Tango & Cash
Setting: Present-day 1989
Our hero: Sharp-dressed L.A. cop Ray Tango (Sylvester Stallone), who’s forced to team up with hot-headed L.A. cop Gabriel Cash (Kurt Russell) when they’re both framed for the same murder
Our villain/s: Dasterdly arms dealer Yves Perret (Jack Palance in full-on cackle mode)
The stakes: Their good names
