Is MTV really fed up with the increasing salary demands of its hottest reality stars, the juicehead guidos of ‘Jersey Shore’?
Maybe, but it’s not saying so publicly. In fact, the a network rep spoke out today to deny the rumors swirling that it plans to recast the series after the current Macaroni Rascals return from Italy and film in Seaside Heights once again.
“We love the present cast, and their summer adventures have just begun. We currently have no plans to recast the show,” a spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter.
Three of the stars, J-Woww, Snooki and Pauly D, all have spinoff shows scheduled to air on the network sometime this year.
