To say that NBC is in flux is an understatement.
The struggling network, whose merger with Comcast was recently approved, has had plenty of shuffling (of both executives and schedules), the latest being the departure of president of primetime entertainment Angela Bromstad, announced today.
With management restructuring being a given in any large corporate merger, this change comes as no surprise, especially since her boss, chairman Jeff Gaspin, also recently resigned.
Bromstad’s successor was not immediately named, although industry pundits have already started speculating. With pilot season in full swing, expect an announcement from new entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt — who will now be in full control of the network’s programming — soon.
