Mary Steenburgen is officially the first actor cast in the new FX drama, ‘Outlaw Country,’ according to Deadline.com. The pilot is described as a “crime thriller/family drama” set in Nashville and involving southern organized crime.
The show will have a musical element, not surprising given its setting, and Steenburgen is reported to sing in the role. Shooter Jennings, son of Waylon Jennings, is also reportedly on board as an executive consultant and music supervisor.
