This week, we finally delved a little deeper into what makes Maggie (Christina Ricci) tick on ‘Pan Am’ (Sun., 10PM ET on ABC). We also got to see some bonding between Kate and Colette, as the latter struggled emotionally on a trip to Berlin. This was 1963 after all, meaning she remembered the Nazi occupation of France from her childhood.
But 1936 in Berlin means something else as well, and that’s what showed us how determined Maggie can be when she sees something she wants. We learned that she volunteered the most hours of anyone during President Kennedy’s run for office, but she missed out on an opportunity to meet him. At least, until Kennedy’s infamous speech in Berlin in the summer of 1963.
