Newly crowned ‘America’s Got Talent’ winner Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. stopped by ‘Good Day LA’ (weekdays, 9AM PT on Fox) to talk about winning the $1 million prize. So what’s the first big, crazy purchase Murphy is planning? Health insurance. Then, college funds for his three kids.
“This means the world to my family,” said Murphy. “I got behind a lot in my life, you know? And this, ‘America’s Got Talent’ gave me the opportunity to make all of those things right again. I don’t have health insurance right now, so I’m just ready to go out and get that and pay for my kids’ college.”
