After Lisa Edelstein announced she wouldn’t return to the hallowed halls of Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, ‘House’ couldn’t take the blow of another major cast member leaving.
That’s why the news that Jesse Spencer, also known as dreamy Aussie Dr. Robert Chase on the Fox hit, is returning to the show for season 8 is so exciting. Spencer tweeted the news yesterday after surfing in California, saying “I’m coming back for season 8 with a tan and a busted board.”
According to TVLine, the deal went down late Tuesday night. There’s no word yet on whether soon-to-be-mega-movie-star Olivia Wilde (this summer’s ‘Cowboys & Aliens’) is returning to the show, but ‘House’ creator David Shore told TVLine in May that he expects her to be back in some capacity, but maybe not as large a role as she had before.
